The mission statement of Kev’s garden project was simple. Produce an aesthetically pleasing area which will last. I think you will agree that our Italian 20mm lava porcelain ticks that box 😁
Phase 2 of this project just needs a couple of things listed below which we will get to in the next couple of weeks 👌
- Touch up the beds with render on the wall
- Add a high quality seeded lawn to the back of the wall
Now this project has been a tough one, with excavation at the start where by we moved upwards of 50 tons out of a narrow gate way.
Footings came next and the 7 packs of block needed to be laid, whilst in there we decided adding in a soak away would reduce and manage water that will land on this non permeable surface.
So the wall has its own built in drainage system connected to a soakaway which sits deep in the middle of the garden much lower than the footings on the house or wall💪😊
We finished the patio off with our “cosmic black” grout. It definitely makes the tiles stand out and looks 🔥 😃
All told it’s been a pleasure working with Kev and his wife there patience hasn’t gone unnoticed, we got off to a flying start with this one then we were held up by ☔️ and 🧊 and not forgetting storm Eunice 🙈.
